7 Romantic Spots in Philly

February 23, 2021

While Philly is known for brotherly love, there is no shortage of romantic love in the city. As the month of love comes to an end, we put together a list of our seven favorite romantic spots in the city.

With a mix of free, ticketed, and high-end locations, there’s something for every couple on the list. Read on to find your next weekend adventure for you and your special someone.

1. Boathouse Row

For outdoor romance after dark, look no further than Boathouse Row. As you walk along the Schuylkill River, the light from the historic boathouses will reflect off of the water, providing the perfect PM ambiance.

2. Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

Strap on your skates, grab your mask and soak up the final days of Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest with your beau. This romantic winter wonderland is seasonal, so there are only a few chances left to skate hand in hand with your partner. Be sure to book your skate time before March 7!

3. The AMOR sculpture

If the LOVE sculpture has become more cliché than romantic, check out its Spanish counterpart in Sisters City Park.

4. Cherry Street Pier

This photo by @ozarc says it all. Invite your special someone to watch the sunrise at Cherry Street Pier for a sky display that neither of you will soon forget.

5. Morris Arboretum

It’s hard to find outdoor gardens and greeneries in Philly with all three of the following characteristics: romantic, beautiful despite the harsh winter, and open during the pandemic. Morris Arboretum is the exception. The now snowcapped Loop de Loop Installation is the perfect hideaway for a romantic moment.

6. Addison Street

In our Philly Winter Spots blog, we mentioned Addison Street’s popularity amongst couples. The street’s romantic, glistening lights have even made it the location of choice for many people proposing to their partner. Regardless of snowfall or promises of lifelong commitments, the lights of Addison Street will provide all the romance you need for an evening stroll with your love.

7. Four Seasons Philadelphia

For a day of romance that is elevated in more ways than one, book a romantic day of pampering at the Four Seasons Philadelphia. Their sky-high spa, located on the 57th floor, offers high-end couples treatments followed by time to unwind in the infinity pool overlooking the city.

To all of our coupled blog readers, we hope you found somewhere new for you and your partner to explore in the upcoming weeks. For our Spruce Street Commons singles – keep this bookmarked. You never know when the love bug is about to bite.
